Description
On Paula Paul Platten
An outburst of rage against the “normal state of society,” which preaches consumption and egoism as the meaning of life. With a unique blend of post-punk rawness and unpolished despair, Dr. Drexler Project shatters the clean, tamed harmonies of AI-composed sonic mush. Words against meaninglessness. Dr. Drexler Project drags its listeners with massive bass, buzzing synths, and clanging guitars (sometimes vibraphone) into a world that rejects the false promises of growth, efficiency, and fantasies of great power. This is about exposing a system that carries freedom and progress within it as battle cries of authoritarianism, disguised as a sense of belonging—the final trap of meaninglessness. It’s music of escape, an attack on the everyday. Rage and madness against the mindfulness of egocentrics. Neoliberal bullshit became a concept album unintentionally, simply because the zeitgeist writes the lyrics. Analog versus digital, bottom versus top. An album as a whole versus the arbitrariness of the first 5 seconds.
