The Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania—
about an hour north by northwest of Philly—had
a great punk scene in the first half of the 2000s,
and I feel like it’s been a while since I heard of any
bands coming out of there, until I got this record in
my hands. It’s moody, abrasive, mostly mid-paced
hardcore that’s pretty much average: nothing
particularly terrible; but nothing noteworthy to
pull you in, the listener. Maybe it’s something lost
in the recording, but the slower songs lack groove
or spite, the faster ones fall flat, and the riffs are all
bland as hell.
