Carpet is a band from Germany with huge influences by prog rock, psychedelic music, stoner rock and
jazz. It’s like putting King Crimson, Motorpsycho, Jaga Jazzist, the Notwist and the Beatles in a studio to create new
material together.
Out of the ashes of the Band Dear John Letter, they recorded their debut “Elysian Pleasures” in 2013, which was highly appreciated by listeners and the press
(e.g. album of the month, eclipsed magazine), they widened their musical spectrum on the following two
albums “Secret Box” (2017) and “About Rooms and Elephants” (2018) – all released on the Colour Haze
Label Elektrohasch.
Also, Maximilian Stephan, singer and guitarist of Carpet, has recorded as solo album in 2020 under the name “Half Pair”.
And of course we have the whole back catalog available.
The vinyl of the new record comes in a gatefold sleeve with two LP-sized inlets, a download code and a senseless insert.
The CD comes in digi-sleeve.
